Eric E. LudinEric E. Ludin is originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in 1979, with honors. He received his JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1982.
Mr. Ludin is a former Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County where he was assigned to the consumer fraud division. Since 1985, he has engaged in private practice, concentrating on securities litigation, general and commercial litigation, commercial landlord/tenant conflicts and personal injury litigation.
Mr. Ludin was President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association from 2000 - 2001. He served as President of the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation from 2004 - 2006. He had previously served as Treasurer for the St. Petersburg Bar and has been an active member on various committees including having served as Law Week chair. Mr. Ludin recently completed a term as the chair of the 6th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “E” of the Florida Bar. He is also an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Mr. Ludin has an "AV" rating with Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest peer rating an attorney can be awarded.
He was honored with the 2004 Diversity Award presented by the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association in appreciation of his commitment to supporting diversity in the legal profession.
Mr. Ludin has lectured and written on matters involving securities law. He authored, Identifying Potential Claims Against Broker/Dealers a Securities Claim Primer published in the January 2006 issue of the St. Petersburg Bar publication, The Paralcete. He has also lectured on the subject of commercial landlord/tenant conflicts.
He is currently serving as Chair-elect of Menorah Manor, a not-for-profit geriatric and rehabilitation center in St. Petersburg. He founded and chairs the West Coast Law Firm Challenge to raise funds for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Mr. Ludin is past President of his synagogue, Congregation B'nai Israel of St. Petersburg. He was also an officer of the Pinellas County Jewish Day School and a past chairman of the annual campaign of the Pinellas County Jewish Federation. He is a recipient of the Jewish Federation's Edward N. Ludin young leadership award, a prestigious award named in memory of his father.
Mr. Ludin is an avid sailor. His writings about sailing have appeared in various publications including SAIL magazine.
